Avalon D'arcy's art reflects life in her world. 'A story is told through the lives of my little characters I create, each of them with a name, a history and hopes for a future. I feel that my audience can relate to any of my artworks through their own life experience. Im largely concerned and yet somehow melancholy for the future of our earth, I think that we will leave some kind of story behind but I'm not sure if the world will allow us to be remembered. I think we underestimate its power and wisdom just because we cannot engage collectively in a spiritual manner with it or each other, therefore that becomes our ignorance or fear of never knowing why or how'.
A little more about the artist...
'I live and breathe art, I engaged in life in different ways because of that, but I've been lucky enough to be thrown in some pretty profound situations due to art also.I've been very lucky to have held 3 of my own exhibitions, involving other young artists on the Gold Coast and promoting a cultural scene which is only just beginning to emerge here on the Gold Coast'.
I began my art life in high school, where I was unsure of my direction but was cultivated by a wonderful art teacher who allowed me to explore my own tangents. As I have grown older, my art has developed thoroughly and has taken a more precise direction. In the future I hope to develop my skills even further and expand my horizons in relation to theme and content.
